Welcome to Samanta Sewing! I’m here to assist you with all your sewing needs. My shop is based in Stratford, Connecticut, and I specialize in bridal, women’s formalwear, and theater alterations—with a little general tailoring here and there. It’s truly a blessing to work as a seamstress in my community, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing people while honing my craft.

With years of experience working with clients of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes, I’ve encountered a wide range of tailoring challenges. A long hem or ill-fitting bra cups are no match for me—I’ve seen it all dozens of times!
I strive to be completely transparent and fair with my pricing—no secrets here! Each customer receives a detailed breakdown of costs. To book an appointment, a $25 deposit is required. This helps protect both my time and yours. The deposit is nonrefundable unless you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, and it will be applied toward your total alteration balance. Final balances are typically determined at the last fitting, as I charge based on the labor performed. However, I’m happy to provide a general quote beforehand so you have an idea of the cost. If you’d like a quote in advance, just ask!
I offer a selection of handmade veils, crafted by me, as well as carefully chosen vintage gowns available for purchase. You're welcome to book an appointment to browse these items in person or explore and purchase them through my Etsy shop.
